Our Red Mountain Ale also won a Gold Medal at the 1998 Colorado State Fair Microbrew competition along with a Bronze Medal in 1999 and 2000. We brew out Red using several specialty malts and British hops for a rich, smooth flavor that has only grown in popularity since its' introduction in 1996.

Aroma of caramel and some toasted nuts, a deep brownish red body, not much head or any lace. Flavor leaned towards the caramel, a watery finish though. Overall it was o.k., decent, drinkable, not great.

Solid nose on this for being an amber. Malty and sweet with plenty of plum notes. Pours brownish red with very little head. Medium body with a slightly watery finish that is clean and smooth. Flavor is malty and mild with some bitterness on the back. This beer tends to finish dry.

    OK amber. OK camping beer.
