I bravely purchased an 18-pack of this beer for $18 at Sam's in Daytona Beach without knowing what I was getting, and was so pleased with the taste, I went out and bought two more packs at once. The aroma is surprisingly of pear cider with a hint of hops. The beer feels smooth and non-astringent to the palette. The taste is reminiscent of my old favorite from the Pacific NW: Alaskan Amber, but is sweeter, less rich, and lighter in flavor and color.

an add on at the end of our Lakefront tasting last night. pours quite light for an amber...taste is slightly sweet malt (similar aroma, nice smooth body) but overall it tastes and smells like a mass produced beer, and doesn't really approximate any of the good micro-brewed ambers i've had before it.
