Pours a nice size frothy white head and has a clean golden amber appearance. Dirty lacing. Fairly excessive carbonation. Aromas of light roasted malts, strong citrus and earthy hops. Flavours are earthy hops, some spices and sort of a rusty like taste in the finish. Nice hoppy bitterness on the palate that really lingers. Has a chalky and tingling sensation. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Pretty good ipa!

Looks quite good and leaves decent lacing. Smooth and very easy to drink. Not much aroma. Flavour is pine, grapefruit, and orange peel. Could be a good summer session drinker.

Picked-up a 6-pack of this one at the LCBO. Pours a clean amber colour with big frothy off-white head that has good retention and great lacing. Aromas of burnt toffee and grapefruits. Kind of on the light side of things for the palate. Not as bitter from the glass, than the bottle. Caramel malts with the hop showing in the finish with a medium dry bitterness. A good IPA that has balls, but does not overpower and is still easy to drink a few.

The beer poured a translucent dark gold with orange hues and a this off-white cap that lingers. The aroma was pine, yeast, grass, caramel, and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was mild grapefruit, caramel, and grains. -

I couldn't let myself rate this beer higher than brooklyns IPA or Dogfish Head 90min IPA, but its pretty killer. Malts give it a great base for well balanced super citrus hops. Very orange and grapefruit not lemon or lime at all. Dry, crisp super easy drinking. Drinks as quickly as any other fantastic tree brew. hop flavour sticks a bit. Will buy again, price is great. Drink this, cold, on a hot day.

This has been brought into Ontario as a higher end IPA and deservedly so. It's an orange ngold beer with a decent sized head. The aroma is very hoppy but you can sense the malt as well. The flavour is heavily citrusy, and very drinkable.

Bottle: Pours a deep gold-orange with a puffy 1 finger cap that lasts and laces well (this is this beer's signature, if you don't see this you have a oxidized ample or a dirty glass) Aroma is a Canadianized version ow the west coast APAs...chinook hop grapefruit aromas over toffee malts. Tastes pretty much as it smells; standard APA tastes but in good balance and a lighter clean finish, Glad Tree makes this or Western Canada whouldn't have a local bottled pacific NW styled APA..two thumbs up!

The body is a light honey brown and crystal clear, a big rocky head caps this beer but vanishes in just a few minutes, not really all that exciting or unique looking. Very grape fruity, this is all citrus hops, dam good smelling beer the hops are strong but not over powering, for an IPA this is fawking awesome smelling. The taste is great, tons of hops but not overly bitter, grape fruit and flowers make for a clean refreshing beer, this is all built on a quality malt backbone that complements the insane hopy taste. This is full bodied and just plain awesome, by far the best IPA I’ve ever had, and I can’t get enough of this stuff, 5 thumbs way up for Tree Brewing’s Hophead IPA.

This is one of my favourite beers. This beer is awsome. A crystal clear burnt orange beer with a modest fine white cap that never leaves. Decent lacing too. The very fresh aroma consists of floral hops, sweet cirtusy candy, tasty warm malts and grapefruit. Flavours are ruled by the yummy hops and supported by malts, what seems to be cotton candy (end of the beer when quite warm) and grapefruit. The hops do not completely overpower your mouth - don't get me wrong, there's a shit load of bitterness, but there is so much more and that's why this is so good. My tongue is convinced that I've eaten a grapefruit - it's the same feeling. It's also got excellent creaminess and is medium bodied. Very smooth and highly drinkable. On the flip side, I like this beer very cold and out of the bottle. More bitter that way! But if I need to savour it, straight to a glass - in this review, it's out of a vintage Budweiser chalice (dead serious). I drank 8 of these one day working in the yard and I think that the beer ate a hole through my stomach. And I got seriously trashed while working with sharp objects. Yet another killer brew from Tree.

A pretty nice IPA, great to see from Canadian brewery. Loaded with grapefruity hops, lends a smooth and lingering mouthfeel. Quite crisp, refreshing. Very citruisy, acidic. Average appearence with decent head. The only thing working against this beer is that there are nicer ones already out there, but I wouldn't let that distract from how good this one is!
