Pours a rich, appetizing, dark-chocolate brown that lets in a snip of daylight at the very bottom and has a very thick and rather persistent light tan head that pillows. Roast malt aroma has notes of wood hops and caramel. Hops, mostly woody, dominate the flavor, while roast malt and caramel and a little hint of chocolate serve as backup singers. Smooth texture has decent fizz and thickness, and leaves an earthy, smoky finish of woody hops. Go ahead, get skunked - but PLEASE designate a driver, or call a cab. Or get skunked in your own home, or in a bar that’s convenient to MARTA.
