Cask half pint at JDW, Victoria Station, London. ABV was 5.0%. Brewed at Shepherd Neame. Dark amber to brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma and flavour of toffee and caramel, but the beer is not very sweet. Very moderate bitterness, a bit disappointing for an "American" guest brew.

Wasn't sure what this would be like, but I'd compare it to a copper or slightly hoppy amber. Some caramel malt and light floral notes in the flavor. Almost an 8 in that category but not quite....I'd give 7.5 rating if I could. Refreshing and would be solid for the spring/summer season. Also good for food pairings. Only sampled a single for now, but will keep this in mind for the future.

A deeply dark amber colored beer with a big frothy textured very light beige colored head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. Light globs of film and a medium ringlet left behind. Grassy, nutty biscuit nose. Same in taste. Light bitterness in a medium bodied beer. Refrshing

From TN Louis, thanks for this malty treat. Thin off white head with a nice coating of lace and an amber~brown body. Balanced feel, light to medium bodied. Malty with some faint bitterness. Rich malts with some minor dark fruit notes, toffee, nuts, and grains. Clean malt profile all around. Drinkable and enjoyable.

True amber/ copper pour, tight white head, nice lacing. Nice malty aroma and palate upfront with slight nuttiness, caramel, earthy hops with a light bitter linger after initial sweet malt flavor. May be "labeled" as an amber but this is truly an Alt, and a pretty damn good one.

Comes out of the tap a clear dark golden amber with a thick, foamy wheat head. Malty aroma is not strong and lacks depth. Flavor, though, is a little better, malty with an apple undertone and just a hint of hops. Smooth body has a good amount of fizz, if not much thickness. If not Terrapin’s best, drink one for the trees.
