Dipping our toes in the dark waters of a Cascadian Ale led us to the depths of Steve’s inner brewer and resulted in this dynamic hoppy black ale. Somewhere in that portentous place much like one finds in a dime store comic, where fear and anxiety meet heroism and pure goodness, the ingredients for this misunderstood marvel were formed. Chinook Hops the most valorous of American hybrids and trustworthy two row malts form an inner alliance with 3 dark and mysterious specialty malts and together they complete a profile that would have even the most adept mind bewildered. Be brave craft beer fans and let your intrigue guide you. The night is always darkest just before the dawn.

On tap at Terminal Brewhouse - Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma contains caramel, toffee, and citrus. The flavor is bitter with some lemons, caramel, toffee, and chocolate. More IPA than anything else. Overall a good beer.
