A dark London-style ale. Medium-bodied, roasty, with a hint of dark chocolate on the finish. A favorite among 18th and 19thcentury porters working in and around London.

Very similar to TAPS Brown Ale in color and body. Maybe a little darker come to think of it. Basically replace the toastiness of the brown ale with more roasted and dark malts. The thin body made it easy to drink but I expected a little more body in a porter. not great to style but a great drink.

Chestnut colored brew with a thin tan head. Nice roasted malt nose. A little thin on the body but has a good full flavor. Roasted malt, milk chocolate and a little dark coffee bitterness. Decent brew.

This review is from notes previously taken They had this both on draft & on cask when I was there. I'll rate the cask version. Nice medium bodied, creamy, roasty porter. Deep brown in color with a long lasting head. Extremely drinkable.
