Stump Knocker Pale Ale got its name from the notoriously feisty Stumpknocker fish that will at times make you think you have hooked into the lunker. True to form, this refreshing Pale Ale remains very smooth and drinkable while maintaining the same hop headed attitude as the biggest boy in the pond. Stump Knocker features late flavor and aroma hops, augmented with two dry hop additions to enhance the aromatics. These techniques produce a hop-centered ale with a crisp, balanced finish that will recharge your palate! Ingredients: American barley malts Centennial and Amarillo hops

Pours clear, bubbly golden with a thick eggshell head. Aroma presents resiny hops, tangy apple and fresh malt. Flavor features more fruit and malt, a little less hop character, for a smooth and very enjoyable pale ale. Mouthfeel delivers good body and fizz, and a malty and hoppy finish. Knock that stump!

Got in a flight at East End Market/Orlando. Hard to tell with a smaller sample, but this is a pale ale I can drink a lot of! Maybe my third or fourth sample from Swamp Head...could be my favorite so far. Appearance is a little thin, but has a good feel and lots of flavor (citrus, malt, almost IPA strength hops). Might have to stop in the tap room and get a 6 or 12 of this on my way back from camping in North FL.
