This is another winner from the old Steelback lineup that made the rounds of the Ontario bush party scene. Smooth beer, great flavour. I could use me some more.

I sure miss this beer, hasn't been sold in N.S. for almost 2 years.I liked this strong beer with a good flavor and easy going down. This beer would give you some wicked energy and came in handy when filling basement with wood or hand raking wild blueberries on a hot day.If anyone knows where I could get some please let me know.

It's a shame that you have to write 150 characters because that's 146 characters more than you need for any Steelback brew ('yuck' is all you need). Open the bottle and the aroma of alcohol hits you. Pour it into a glass and the orange glow gives off the same alcoholic pittance. Taste it....and you'll give this the heave-ho.

Sure this beer is not great. In fact, it’s pretty marginal. The one thing that Blue Thunder has going for it is the high alcohol percentage and it goes down reasonably smooth. This beer is great for getting hammered and killing brain cells.

This i thought was worse than tango. this tasted liek rotten wet soggy bandaids, the coating on advil capsules, and fuel. maybe a few mealy apples and smooshy pears mixed in.

This is a sickly-sweet fermented corn/cane dextrose beverage which does not deserve a serious look by beer drinkers or those who value real beer. or their internal organs... Commonly refered to as "blue chunder" by local wags and for good reason...probably the cheapest park bench stone in Canada....choice of decerning Toronto rubbies because a large can is good for a quick buzz and fits in a paper bag just perfectly so the OPP cops won't roust you in your urban camp out. 3 of these and you start hearing "the voices"...unfortunately they come from EMS workers who are trying to pump your stomach and get your heart going....Posters soon to be seen in Salvation Army street hospices : "have some self respect stay clear of Steelback beer" ;-)

I am trying to understand why this one is more expensive than the other Steelback... all because of a higher ABV. Must be all this extra caring for the brew. Anyways, pours an amber colour with medium and slow carbonation. The head is decently creamy and tanned, but does not stay as long as it could. Lacing is kind of boring too. After breathing a bit, the alcohol nose escapes. A nutty caramel scent with floral notes is found. Watery mouthfeel and quite smooth. The taste is sweet with caramel, and a touch of bananas. No sign of burn, very, very smooth for a 8% ABV. Reminds me of their Chain and Link, but with a stronger alcohol content.

07.08.05 RBSG The treat of the evening, this beer was not nearly as bad as hoped, then again, I was more drunk than hoped by the time I sampled it. Fine looking pour is dark orange amber with plenty of white head and some lace. Bananas, bubblegum, rotting waste in the sink, and some cooked corn. Tons of alcoholic love that might make me wretch if this was first thing in the morning. Certainly not the worst that Canada has to offer.

"This beer is awesome! smoth taste that goes down nice. The plastic bottle great idea stays colder longer and there is more content in the bottle. For price very reasonably $28.00 Canadian for a 24 pack beer and $9.85 Canandian for a 12 pack of beer"

This isnt beer, this is created in a lab somewhere and picked up by some marketing execs to jump into the drunkards share of the market. Not a surprising idea either since they and Steelback have a few things in common...mainly poor quality and a awful handle on beer. Id swear this is an Advil marketing gimmick.
