500 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Staffelberg-Pokal an unfiltered cloudy copper-brown coloured Märzen with a one finger slight beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is solid grainy malts and sourish-tarty notes. The flavour is sweet malts and overwhelmed by the unpleasant sourish-tarty presence. The mouthfeel is sparkling and tarty. This light to medium bodied Märzen has a dry aciditic-tarty finish. I can't imagine this Märzen as a " Festbier ". A real disappointement.
