Darker poor with quickly dissapearing foam head. Aroma is burned barley mixed with honey, not nice. Taste is doninated by honey and again burned barley. Short lasting sweet aftertaste, little bitter. (Moscow 201209)

Im not sure how many of you check out the numbers, or just the text in these reviews, but the across the board consistency of this beer, plus the beautiful bottle brings this one up to a solid nine! Used to drink it lots in the UK, and recently picked up a bottle in Canada. Fantastic stuff, transparent, but super dark carmel, nearly brown, like a nice hardwood floor... Smells of honey, but not the flowery or creamy type, but of the maply, earthy type. Despite its lower alcohol percentage I do get a wiff of alcohol. Drinking this slightly malty (only slightly) beverage, I remember why the walk home so often felt hard. Touch of carmel on the aftertaste. Bits of head still floating around at the end, surprising for an english beer of this type. LOVELY!

500 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate creamy beige head. VERY strong aroma of honey, also notes of caramel and syrup. Creamy mouthfeel. The honey dominates the flavour too, but it is not quite as sweet as I feared. Notes of coffee and cough syrup, with a moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish. St. Peter's Brewery has better beers than this one!

Dark brown color, not so much foam and it dissapears fast. There's coffee and honey in the taste, specially in the aftertaste. But there's actually a bit too much honey in it. Don't think it's a good beer after all.

Dark brown colour, big brown creamy head, lacing. Mintish honey aroma with some hints of smoke. Sweet honeyish smoky flavour. Smoky finish and aftertaste. Sweet honey and smoke all along the way.

I think I could drink a LOT of this stuff! It poured a dark dark dark amber, almost brown, colour along with a modest, foamy tan head which produced some very nice lacing. Aroma-wise, the delightful scent of honey hits you right away. As for the taste, again with the honey and it really makes this a pleasure to drink. Some coffee appears in the after taste as an added bonus. Finally, it comes in the pretty St Peter's unique bottle.

clear dark brown colour, almost no foam, just some big bubbles floating, roasted mocha aroma with deep honeyish notes, medium-bodied, strong bitterness in a very dry smokey and coffeeish finish - delightful
