Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6
pours a murky golden copper color with a small ring of bubbles formed in the glass and leaves no lacing. The aroma has some whiffs of sweet tangaries, light syrup, piney hops, mild caramel, mild malted wheat barly. The taste is mirroed in the taste, mild pine, syrupy malt, light citrus, wheat going into the finish. The mouthfeel is light, crisp, a bit on the light side as far as carbonation.

A crytalline amber colored ale. There’s a small fizzy off white head. Settles quickly, leaving no lacing. Big aroma with pleasant blending of malt, floral hops and fruit. There is a high degree of carbonation, with a crisp, creaminess to the body. The taste is weak, some malt, some hops. Really the downside of an otherwise average beer.

Dark gold colored and pours with a nice thick off-white head. Very malty and saazy, richer than expected, a little sweet, and a touch of domestic swill. Not bad. Refreshing enough after mowing the lawn but probably won’t be a regular choice of mine.

Sampled on 4/20/2009. This kristalweizen poursa medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head, with nearly no retention or lacing. The aroma is wheatgrass and lemony, touch of spices. A medium to light bodied weizen. The malts are wheaty and grainy. The hops are slightly spicy. Lively carbonation. A touch sweet, with some floral orange flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Mar 1, 2009 Looks like a pale american lager. Sparkling nicely with a creamy almost white head. Very little aroma, just a clean olfactory. Fairly mild flavor with just a hint of bitterness. For the most part, well behaved. Smooth and rather enjoyable. lacks many of the typical ale attributes. Has a constant nagging mild processed background, metallic or something. Citrusy at times. Finish is mild to medium mild industrial linger. If this is brewed by melanie, its one of their best and now I realize why it has that processed background in there.

Very subtle aroma. Not a lot there. Mostly a wheat/yeasty smell. Tiny white head. All flavors seem toned down. It is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that has hefeweizen-like qualities but has bit of a hoppy bite. Not really anything GREAT, but it is drinkable and would be a decent summer session brew.

Aroma is a tad metallic with some grain and very faint fruity nuiancs as well as some sweetness. Appearance is a bronze-orange in color and clear with a medium head on top that is whispy and fuzzy and leaves some lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and smooth with decent complexity and balance with a palate that is wet-like. Flavor is malty sweet with some faint clove and some banana with an aftertaste that is a tad hoppy and a finish that is clean, light, and crisp but and bit shallow. Overall, decent brew here, nothing special but is refreshing; recommended to some extent.
