Helles Bock is a bright, clear golden interpretation of a classic bock beer (see Sly Fox Slacker Bock). Made with all German Pils malt, this is the perfect expression and experience of that great malt you'll ever find in a glass.

Reading the reviews above mine, I'm wondering if they poured the wrong beer into my sampler glass. Poured clearish yellow...certainly not the bronze/gold described above...looked and tasted similar to the Helles Lager. Seemed to be lacking the typical bock flavor. It was grassy/haylike in flavor. Good but definitely not great.

Recommended by E this one was pretty darn good. A golden appearance with a large head. A strong lemon and hay presence in the flavor. Somewhat sweet taste as well. The alcohol is present in the aftertaste. Woohoo!

Poured a deep bronze color with a small, off white head that left very little lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel and doughy malt, wintergreen. Biscuity taste, more caramel malt, grassy hops, very fruity, with a bitter citrus finish. Light alcohol was noticed as well.
