La Black IPA joue sur la très mince frontière où l’équilibre entre les saveurs torréfiées et l’amertume des houblons peuvent former un ensemble harmonieux et rafraichissant. Sans faire de compromis sur l’offre de saveurs, cette version noire du style en plein essor en Amérique surprendra le dégustateur par une «buvabilité» nettement plus grande que ce que l’on attribue normalement à ses sœurs de la même teinte. Pours a dark brown colour with ruby highlights. Big froth beige head with great retention and full fluffy foam lace. Beautiful nose with fresh grassy hops, mild roasted malt, sugar, fruity notes, hints of anise and Belgian Ale yeast. The dark malt is pretty mild in the taste with the hops taking over and some rusty water. Easy drinkability but lacking a bit in the taste and mouthfeel department.
