This cream stout is the definition of a "session" beer - low alcohol, light in body, and big in flavor. This ebony colored ale has a heady mix of sweet malt and roasted coffee flavors. The addition of lactose sugar gives this beer a hint of cream flavor.

this turned out to be just what they're calling it. a nice, dark, flavorful, mellow session ale. roasted grain and coffee with a hint of cocoa in the aroma. smooth body. light for a dark beer. flavor much the same as the aroma, which was easily drinkable and fairly flavorful. fairly clean stout with little lingering aftertaste. 2012-liked it even more this time around - stood out even amongst great beers three times it's strength.
