This black IPA strikes a perfect balance between dark and roasted malt flavors, and bright and floral whole-cone hops. Featuring a hint of black malt, India Ink has notes of chocolate and anise and mild roasted flavors working in counterpoint to a blend of aromatic experimental and New Zealand hops.

khaki head that almost makes the beer look as if it's on nitro. grapefuit, tropical notes, roasted black malt and chocolate. this is a "black ipa" done better than most, and was my surprise favorite of the night, with several good beers had. some in the style just seem to not mesh, flavor or aroma-wise. this one does. black ipa or hoppy stout...it nails it. very good, and of the top 5 SN beers i've had.
