Rain or shine, cold weather or warm, this all-season stout combines the interest of maple syrup with the dryness of roasted barley and creamy complexity of oats. Made for sipping, but with an appeal that takes Websters definition of quaff to heart: Quaff (kwaf) - to drink or swallow in large quantities and with pleasure.

I picked up this beer at the Wine Gourmet in Roanoke and shared it with some family on Christmas 2010. This beer smelled like maple but was pretty thin. Being a HUGE stout fan, I am really critical of beers representign the style - this needed some body. The flavor was nice but future batches of this beer need some refining.
