A well-balanced winter beer. Pours a nice copper color - decent head and lacing. Good blend of maltiness and hoppiness. Slightly spicy. Not a bad beer, but just kinda average in every respect - nothing stood out good - or bad.

Pours a dark cloudy amber color, head is fairly small, off white and creamy. Smooth lightly roasted malts with a hint of spice. melony fruit on the nose, sweet with a hint of pumpkin.

good balance between hops and malt sweetness. Little bit medicinal taste. Not too bitter nor too sweet. copper color, good head, thin body. Pretty much a plain, ordinary brew.

Golden brown, very little head. Very strong peach presence in both aroma and flavor, with a bitter hoppy finish. Too darned sweet...really sweet. I'm not sure I could drink more than one of these.

KCC Rnd 3. 12 oz. brown bottle. Poured with an inch thick cream colored head. Excellent lacing and decent head retention. Clear, bronze color. Aroma is nice, sweet, a little butterscotch is detected, and as it warms, the alcohol presence becomes more pronounced. The mouthfeel is slick and oily, adding to the body's perceived fullness. Not too bitter, not too sweet, it goes down like cough syrup. The aftertaste contains some off-flavors and is oddly bitter. A nice warming brew.

Copper coloured with a thick white head. Caramel, hazelnuts and spicy hops in aroma. Toffee, nuts and caramel in flavour. Later, the hoppy flavour come ( small citrus notes, spices and burnt leaves). Nutty finish. Thin body though.

Copper color with a small head. not much aroma....some sweet malts. Taste is ok, i was for hoping for some spice...none that i could detect. Lots of caramel malt flavor balanced well with the choice of hops. a hoppy finish. kinda plain.

A grape filled caramel aroma. A copper colored pour with a moderate head. The flavor is caramel, grapes, and toffee. A very malty session brew but not bad for an amber. Overall its a pretty good beer.

I normally do not like ales, and really only tried this because it was handed to me by my uncle to drinking on Christmas eve. After the first couple of sips, I actually enjoyed it and drank 3 more by the end of the night. It was also relatively fresh from the brewery because I was in Maine.

Similiar dry grainy head as the Prelude, but this time over a deep reddish brown glowing body. The Aroma is a bit lemony and sharp with contrast with the soft butterscotch of the yeast and caramel of the malt. The Flavor is warm and earthy. They did a good job of blending the diacetyl of the yeast with the similar flavors of the malt. A hint of alcohol warmth lurks underneath. Very biscuit-like. Mouthfeel is a bit dry and fibrous, but not overly carbonated.
