This festive seasonal has a deep amber color and slightly toasted flavor. The initial rich malty aroma and sweetness fades to a moderately dry, hoppy finish. Made with the highest-quality Two-Row Barley, Munich and Caramel malts, along with German-grown Hallertau Tradition and Hersbrucker hops. Best when served with meaty dishes like sausage and roasted chicken, fresh, creamy cheeses, pasta with white sauces and seafood.

Amber pour with a medium white head which quickly faded. Minimal amount of lace on the glass. Straw taste with minimal sweetness. Average beer at best.

I was expecting pumpkin flavor but got more notes of Apple spices and malt. Taste was okay but just a little thin as if it was to watered down, the aroma was very faint but poured a think white head.

Had as Shiner Oktoberfest. Comes out of the tap a pretty clear amber with a thick, fine-bubbled off-white head. Malty aroma has a nice fruity note. Mouth-filling flavor is fruity, almost entirely apple, and malty with just a hint of caramel. Crisp, smooth texture is quite fizzy and leaves a fruity, tingly finish. Overall, OK if not outstanding.

Moderately bready an malty up front soma and flavor with a hint of bitterness on the back end. Not far off in style but a little bit in the tame and boring side of things...

Better than average, but not outstanding. Bready with a hard water taste at the back of the mouth. Quick disapating head. Better warm than cool. I would give this one out as an intro to marzens.

Labeled as "Shiner Oktoberfest" - clear deep amber pour with a soapy bubbly sustained white head and some lazy lacing throughout. Pleasant caramel sweet aroma with a good dose of hops to balance. Taste is easy - smooth malts and earthy hops with a slight bitter linger. Better than I expected it would be, easy to drink and fairly cheap per 6.

It pours a standard amber with thin light-tan head and some lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, faint hops, citrus, peach, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, lemon/citrus, peach, and spiciness. It is good, but the mouthfeel is too soapy.

Weak. Medium amber color when poured with no head to speak of and no lacing whatsoever. Very non-commital. Very slight roasted, sweet malt aroma, but again, in a word, weak. Thin in the mouth and lacking any complexity or robust flavor that I have come to expect from a decent 'fest. Maybe a decent Octoberfest for someone stepping up from Bud Light, but certainly not indicative of a true performer.

I was kinda leary of this one, and for good reason it turns out. Aroma and flavors of some toasted malt and thats about it. A passable marzen as the sum is greater than the individual parts, o.k. for those looking for a toned down marzen.

A bright amber colored beer. With a medium sized frothy textured white head. Not much hang time to this one. And no lacing. A bis appointment there. Toasted malt and grain in the nose. That sweetness is toned down with the taste of hay on the tongue. Moderately carbonatedlight to medium bodied with a degree of smoothness makes this a decent Marzen.
