“We’re gettin’ the band back together!” The rally cry of the eternal optimist. She knows that if given one more chance “they can totally make it!”. It’s for these die hard rockers that we brew Reunion Tour Black IPA. A sadly forgotten style, our black IPA is dark & brooding and loaded with piles of dank, resinous hops. Like walkin’ on stage for that one last show, Reunion Tour will help you remember a long forgotten joy.

The beer pours a solid black colour with a foamy light brown head, there is some weak lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, weak coffee, and weak citrus. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is better balanced than the aroma with the citrusy hop notes cutting through the malt. A very nice beer, too bad it’s a seasonal, and probably a one-off because this would be a great year round Black IPA. -

Part of the Impulse Buy 4pk. Pours a massive frothy beige head that sticks around for quite a while and leaves some thick soapy lace and has a dark brown appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of herbal and grassy hops, some wheaty notes, a little bit earthy as well. Flavours are mostly crystal malt, grass, herbal and earthy hops again. Some subtle hints of caramel and very mild citrus. Drying mouthfeel and a little bit slick. Not too bad.

Dark brown colour with copper highlights. The head is big, creamy-frothy, light-beige with good retention and creamy lacing. Nice aromas of roasted malts and fresh grassy hops. The taste has a good balanced between the two, again. A very nice dryness builds in the finish, lingering. An easy-drinking Black IPA.
