Finally a Pale Ale true to it's name! We've created a crisp, hoppy Pale Ale that is truly pale in color without sacrificing the hop character and malt balance you expect in an American Pale Ale. We've selected citrusy centennial hops balance by the background nuttiness of Maris Otter Malt. We think you'll find this the most refreshing Pale Ale you've ever had.

It pours a copper and burnt-orange with a thin white head and some remaining lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, bitterness, light orange and citrus, tea, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, bitterness, tea, and spiciness. Very good!

another that started with a pleasant citrus and pine aroma with a hint of malt, but fell a little flat in the flavor and finish. an average or below pale ale.

Sampled on 5/20/2010. This pale ale pours a light copper amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts and floral hops, slightly sweet. A light to medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet, hint of tea. The hops are floral and citrusy. Nice carbonation. It is a lighter version of an American Pale Ale, the flavors are just muted they do not taste watered down. A nice summer beer, probably a nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This is one on the new brews in this years Twelve Beers of Summer. I tried this on a very warm Saturday afternoon. The appearence as the name would suggest is light than other pale ales. I found the aroma and flavor to be milder as well. You could smell and taste the hops but it was not at all overpowering. Toning down the hops makes for a nice warm weather refresher.
