I came upon "Samuel Adams Vienna Style" while purchasing the Sam Adams Winter Sampler 12 packs. Call me crazy but this tastes like the Samuel Adams Boston Lager. It looks the same, it tastes the same. I poured the Boston Lager into a glass of Vienna Style and the color never changed. It was the same color and it tasted no different. Maybe I'm being left in the dark among the beer circle but I'd swear that Vienna Style is the same beer as the Boston lager with a different name. If that's so, why would they sell it in the U.S? What's the point? Anyway, regardless of this complete fraud, Vienna/Boston lager is a good american lager.

Reddish brown color. Medium head. Slightly malty aroma with a hint of fruitiness. Medium bodied ale. Nicely malty, taste of toffee and caramel, slightly sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. There is a slightly fruity taste to this beer. Smooth taste. Very drinkable. Hope that Sam Adams adds this beer to their regular everyday lineup. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a slight malt sweetness.

Nice amber color with smallish tan head. Nice raosted malt aroma. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation, which is surprising considering there wasn’t much head. Finish is slightly bitter but I like it. Nicely done.

Bright amber body topped with a thick creamy head leaving plenty of lace. Sweet amlty aroma with slight fruity notes and a touch of sourness. Sweet malt flavor well balanced with hoppiness and a touch of sourness in the finish. Smooth and refreshing, slightly oily.

Got it as part of a 12 pack. Reddish color thick full head. As others have said very close to Boston Lager

Poured a reddish amber color with a small yellowish white head. Malty, yeasty, nutty aroma. Light sweet, malty taste.

This beer is somewhat similar to Boston Ale, the hop taste is almost the same. I think the Boston Ale is a better beer than this one. It is reddish in color, a slightly sour, hoppy flavor. I was a bit disappointed in this beer.
