After reading about the history of this unusual yet traditional Polish smoked wheat beer, Cesar was drawn to the idea of brewing a Grätzer. This unique & flavorful beer comes alive with its combination of smoky sweetness from the heirloom smoked malt and the spicy and herbal notes from Saaz hops. 4.4% ABV

A murky orange-yellow colored beer with a small, two finger, tightly bubbled foamy textured, white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head, with a thin ringlet and persistent cap left behind. The nose is smoky. The tasting a light wheat and light smokiness. Light, crisp and easy to drink. An okay beer.

May not have the best rating out of the 3 varities, but was my pound-for-pound favorite of this year's Long Shots. Good representation of the style. Very mild on the wheat, with some smokiness for added flavor. A great, crisp and refreshing feel. Pretty much like wheat/smoke water and super smooth. Out of all the lighter swill beers, I prefer Michelob Ultra, which this kind of reminds me of a craftier version of that. I wish I could find 6-packs of something like this for the summer!
