Our constant search for high quality ingredients led us to where we discovered Eureka and Lisbon lemons form three different growing regions in California. The citrus from the lemons balances out the character our brewery's own signature malt blend, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat beer.

Somewhat hazy yellow with small/no foam head. Aroma is lemon, taste is a bit too sweet weizen with distinct lemon fravor. Not quite my style, sweet fresh lemon aftertaste (Houston 201208)

pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color with a small, quickly diminishing, white foamy head, without much lacing. The aroma is flour, cereal, and lemon drop. The taste consists of malts and wheat with herbal hops and a little banana and clove. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and is crisp and clean.

Feb. 2010 - Hey, it is as advertised...a lemony wheat beer. I don’t know if I would call this a hefeweizen at all as there is no bubblegum or clove flavors. It is crisp and refreshing and would be a fine grass cutting beer.

Coastal wheat pours a hazy, sun yellow body, head and lace were decent. Aroma of lemon, hay, and some malt. Mouthfeel was rather full for the style, flavors of lemon and Wheat, overall it was o.k.

Purchased in Nashville on my trip to Tennessee in a 6-pack sampler. Pours a hazy golden-yellow with a frothy white head, average retention and a bit of patchy lacing. Quite wheaty with malty scent and hints of citrus (lemon and orange). Notes of yeast and lightly carbonated. Medium-bodied with a little stickiness. Citrus tasting with light wheat. A nice refreshing summer wheat ale that is not as light as most macros, but not overpowering.

    6-pack from SJ BevMo -

Aroma - pretty tame, but what was present..light wheat, lemon zest, a touch of grassy hop note. Lemon profile was interesting.

Appearance - cloudy golden body, initial 3" foamy head which disipated into a smaller 1/4" head...very little lacing.

Taste - lemony yogurt (cream) kind of flavor, with an odd tartness (from the lemons perhaps). Lightly sweetened, easy wheat flavor to pick up.

Palate - light bodied, medium carbonation, clean finish...medium tartness

Overall - easy to drink, easy to enjoy. A nice pool-side beer when you want something refreshing.

This was the biggest surprise to find in the "holiday sampler." This beer is light in color and fizzy of head...not unlike a hefe.Strong aroma of lemon candy. It tastes like lemon and citrus, which is ridiculous because lemon is citrus...kind of like a mix of orange and lemon zest. No spices or anything fancy; just a clean crisp lager that would be great on a summer afternoon (to repeat: why is this in a holiday sampler?).

This beer is another great offering from Samuel Adams. This beer has the look of a traditional German Hefe in a glass; however, the similarities end there. This beer tastes like a hoppier version of the popular Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. The flavor is a bit grassier but it is a very nice overall beer. I would recommend it.

Citrus and grassy aroma with a one finger head that dissipates leaving nice lacing. Medium bodied mouthfeel with a sour and bitter citrus flavor with slight wheat notes.
