With roots in two of today's most popular brewing styles, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer is the result of careful cultivation by our brewers and cellarmen. Their efforts to craft a hybrid yielded a bumper crop of flavor; a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer.

The beer pours a slightly hazed straw gold color with a huge white head that lasts. Lacing is weak. Aroma is wheat, light citrus, grass, and spicy hops. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is malty with weak hints of spicy hops in the finish. Very easy to drink.

Cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma contains citrus and pine. A little bit of clove also. The flavor is more apa like than anything with some bitter lemons and a bit of coriander and bubble gum. The finish is somewhat bitter. Overall pretty good.

A cloudy, muddied yellow colored beer with a big sudsy white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. A thin ringlet is left. Wheaty, citric nose. Mirrored in the tasting profile. Quite refreshing.

The fourth of the "Pick Your Own 6-Pack Sampler" from the local superstore. I noticed some sediment on the bottom of the bottle before pouring. It pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head. Has a sweet aroma with grapefruit leading the citrusy hops along with some lightly toasted wheat. The taste is definitely of a wheat beer. The hops take a back seat to the wheat profile of the beer. Nicely carbonated, light, flavorful and refreshing. I can see myself drinking this on a hot summer day. Well done. I will definitely revisit this one.

Bottle from sam. Lightly hazed golden yellow pour, nice white head and lacing. Crisp and zesty lemon and wheaty aroma and taste, clean and refreshing then nicely bitter. Very nice Wheat IPA, very very drinkable. Thanks Sam.

What a great beer. I hate wheat beers, but I love this IPAs. Pours and looks like a wheat beer. Big head and cloudy body. Smell like a IPA. Taste is fantastic. Pure IPA. Hop, hop, hops. Finish is clean I love it!!!

Very hazy pale gold pour with a big white head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, grainy with maybe a touch of citrus. Taste is very similar; mild grassy bitterness with a touch of wheat/malt sweetness. Very refreshing and easy drinking and at a great price point.

Pours bright yellow with cloudiness and creamy head, an attractive wheat beer. Clean citrus aromatics playing against a sweet grain backdrop. Flavor is bright and refreshing, citrusy hops being the main character. Gently bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This is a beer I like to drink after something stronger/bolder.

Strong aroma is wheaty and hoppy with a subtle undertone of citrus, the latter mainly orange. Pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a fairly thick and fluffy eggshell head. Distinctive and satisfying flavor has good wheaty and hoppy notes as well as a malty and citrus undertone, like a superior wheat mixed with a superior IPA. Wheat beers are not my favorite, but I enjoy a good wheat beer, and I love hoppy beers. Smooth, fairly viscous texture has plenty of fizz and leaves a wheaty, fruity, hoppy finish. 80 acres or 32 hectares, an interesting and enjoyable beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours very hazy straw yellow with a huge rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is wheaty malts, tropical fruits and some piney, lightly resiny, hops.

The flavor is slightly sweet wheaty malts and some tropical fruits with decent piney / resiny bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

    Overall, an interesting hoppy wheat.
