Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aromas of grass, wheat and subdued hops. The wheat and malt leads on the palette, with hints of floral hops. Mild bitterness on the finish. A bit on the tame side as far as flavor goes. Smooth and refreshing, goes down easy. A nice summer beer.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Pale golden colour, moderate white head, nice lacing. Very moderate aroma, some fruit, hints of honey. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant smooth flavour of fruity hops, a moderate grapefruity bitterness in the finish. Easy drinking and refreshing.

This is another Southern Tier that I sampled a while back and forgot to review. I remember getting it as a seasonal, so must have been last summer or spring. It was a decent smooth wheat with a little hop kick at the end. Was good enough to want to sample again and grab a 6-pack. Sill some around from the summer, so may grab one to update this rating, along with their Harvest Ale which is decent too. UPDATED 10/27/11- Good as remembered. One of the better summer seasonals. Enough summer/fall beers for now, but will probably look out for this next year.

Pours a pretty clear golden amber with a fine-bubbled cream white head. Hoppy, almost evergreen aroma has a hint of citrus to it. Lively, hoppy flavor has tones of evergreen and citrus, the latter mainly grapefruit. Tingly, fizzy texture leaves a nice buzz in the mouth.

A crystalline golden colored beer. Big frothy textured, white head rises above. But doesn’t stick around very long. Settles eventually into a light film, dusting and ringlet. Sweet malt and tart citrus play beautifully to the nose. The body is medium. Bubbles dance in the clear body. Definitely smooth creaminess. The wheat is so rustic and pronounced in the flavoring, balanced, again by the citrus. Perhaps one of the best Wheat beers I’ve had to date.

Poured a yellow color with average head. Aroma was lots of cirtus and wheaty. Flavor was lemons grass grapefruits missing the clove flavor i expected. Good solid summer brew very refreshing.

Golden pour, clear, almost no head or lacing. Aroma was hoppy. This is almost the hop-water ipa version of a wheat beer...very thin on wheat. A lot of citrus type hop flavor. Ok but not great.

I thought this was a nice wheat beer.I purchased it with a 10 pack variety kit. I have not seen it around here in six packs. It was nice with a hop kick.I think it was slightly better than bells two-hearted ales. It had the same exact hoppyness, just with a lot better smooth aftertaste.Malty at the end . The brewer that made that did his homework , excellent job.

clear gold color with some head. citrus/ lemon aroma. body is a little light, no chewy wheat feel. very mild wheat flavor, real easy to drink. hops are definitely present, taking the forefront of flavor. crisp and drinkable. someone put it perfectly- mild american wheat meets a mild pale ale.

Wow, an American Wheat with some aggressive characteristics! Pale golden color with a blanket of white lacing around the glass and a thin head. Hop aroma with a lot of citrus, some grassy scents as well. Medium bodied, exceptionally clean and quenching. Good bitterness makes you pucker a bit and say ahhh. This is a great American Wheat, lots of nice hop flavors along with a solid malt and wheat presence. Bitter and a little nutty with a noticeable dose of lemon and a splash of grapefruit. This has renewed my interest in the style, thanks Hop Sun.
