Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. the end result s a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity.

A very pleasant cherry aroma, and a sweet cherry flavor. Wheat beers are my favorite type of beer, and this was deffinitely worth the price (somewhat pricey like all Samuel Adams beers).

This is one of my favorite beers. Aroma is strong; cherry scent is dominant. Color is deep golden honey-amber. Flavor is malty and pleasant, with a strong cherry overtone and wheaty components. Finish is smooth and pleasant. I am fond of cherries, which is one reason I like this particular beer.

CHERRIES, And boy they smell good! Pours a cloudy unfiltered looking gold color. I was expecting it to be red. The mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing. The flavor is cheery, malt then wheat. I like this one.

Enjoyed at the Yard House at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a small white head. Sweet cherry extract aromas with some light wheat, kind of Amaretto-like. The cherries are there in the taste, but not as syrupy as expected. Well-blended with the grain. Refreshing, but a little too sweet for my likings. Still worth trying, but can only have one per session.

I had this beer on draft at Champp's in Raleigh, NC. This beer is a cherry bomb. Not a hige fan but gave it a whirl. If you like fruit beers, you will probably be into this. Way too sweet for me, but my biases shouldn't affet the score.

First tried this several years ago and thought it was awful (think cherry Robitussin). Had it again recently at their Boston brewery and it was better but still bad. Strong cherry flavor seems artificial although it smells ok. This is not a beer I would ever choose to get (only reason I sampled it again was because the brewery tour tasting doesn't let you pick the beer you want to try).

Pours a dark golden color. Smell is strong with cherries. Taste is wheat, some cherries, very refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Pours a lightly hazy dark golden yellow to orange in color. The beer has a small light beige head that quickly reduces to a patch of thin film and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass leaving minimal lacing. The aroma is cherry with some light underlying hints of wheat. The taste is a lot like the aroma with the cherry flavor dominating. There is a very light hint of wheat in the beer. The mouthfeel is light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. This is one of my favorite Sam Adams beers.

Not too much experience with fruit beers but here i go. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with little to no head. Aroma right off the bat smelled like cough syrup. Taste is deep of cherries and not much else. Goes down smooth and the aftertaste is decent. Not a terrible beer.

WOO-WEE that is a lot of cherries. You can smell them long before the glass makes it anywhere near your face. The only fault there might be that it is a bit too strong, there is no room for anything else in the aroma. The flavor of cherries isn't nearly thjat strong, though. The sweet-tart tang of cherry is nice, but there is this slight (cough) syrup feel and taste that is rather unpleasant. The body is substantial, and it looks nice...a clear amber (I was worried it might be pink). Not something I would chase down, but if I just so happened to be at someone's house I wouldn't turn up my nose at it.

Wish List Pavel Chekov from 11/3/2009. Great cherry aroma, just a little too much Marischino and not enough Bing. Nice looking beer with a one finger head that dissipated leaving good lacing. Medium bodied, but the flavor just didn't seem to be all it could be...nicely balanced between cherry and wheat, but not enough of either.
