This crisp, unfiltered lager is aged on blueberries for a pleasant blueberry aroma and taste. To take this fruity character in a new direction, we brewed with Tettnang Tettnanger Noble hops for an added subtle citrus note - a delicious blend of flavors with a smooth lager finish.

Sampled on 9/13/2014. This fruit beer pours a light to medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is blueberries, some malts and a touch of sweetness. A light to medium bodied fruit beer, The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and slightly piney. A lot of blueberry flavor in this one, good fruit flavors without a lot of sweetness. A touch of that lager spiciness/hoppiness. Good carbonation, Decent fruit beer, the fruit sort of dominates a little too much, but you can still tell it’s a beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with some blueberry sweetness.

12oz bottle -
Aroma - sweet blueberries and light hand soap
Appearance - golden body, 2-finger tan head, no lacing, poor head retention
Mouthfeel - light carbonation, light-medium bodied
Flavor - blueberries, just a smidge of citrus, and very light tartness
Overall - the blueberries do not bonk you on the head with the flavor, rather it seemed almost restrained a little. Perhaps a little more sweetness would bring it out more. Decent. -

Purchased in the States, part of their 2013 Beers of Summer variety pack. Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and foamy lace. Fresh blueberry jam nose at first, with some light grainy malt and hop appearing. Lots of active carbonation keeping the head up, almost creamy. The taste is fruity with the blueberries, but not overly and not too sweet. The mild grassy hops keep this calm. Medium-light bodied with just a tad of tart. Pretty refreshing and goes down well. A nice fruity lager.

A murky dark golden color with a white head. Aroma contains well blueberries of course and some grassy notes. The flavor is quite dry with blueberries and citrus showing up. There is some sweetness but not much and a hint of bitterness also. Overall this is a pretty good session beer.

Aromas over over-ripe blueberries, not in a bad way though. Deep yellow body with a slight tinge of brown, ringed head leaves a little lace. Flavor of blueberries (mild) and some grainy malts. Overall its not bad, smooth finish.

Nice fresh blueberry aroma. Palate is a bit light. Flavor an ok mix of noble hops, grain and fruit. Not one ill likely get again, but not bad either.

I like this one too...equally as well as the other new Little White Rye from this variety pack. Seems almost like the same recipe/characteristics, except with Blueberry flavor instead of the sweetness from rye....but the blueberry is mild and not overwhelming like some other beers in this style. May even smell slighty better. Also reminds me a little bit like their Blackberry Wit. Semi-cloudy medium yellow/light orange appearance. I would get this gain.
