The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

The beer poured a cloudy golden-orange colour with absolutely no head. The aroma was grainy malt, some must, and peppery tones. The Mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was full of spice with a nice balance between the malt and the hops. Definitely a peppery taste and feel.

Pours out cloudy yellow with a massive white head that lingers forever. The aroma is very skunky. The mouthfeel feel is nice and thick. The taste is mellow and clean but not that very interesting. This beer has the longest lasting head I've ever seen.

Pours a huge foamy white head. Has slightly hazy orange appearance with tons of bubbles. Fairly excessive carbonation. Thick patchy lacing. Strong aromas of wheats, grains, herbal hops as well as citrus and floral hops. Kinda smells like someone just smoked some weed in the other room. Some orange, citrus hop flavours abound with very tangy hints of lemon/lime. What seems like coriander, hard to pinpoint. Yeasty like taste, mainly in the finish. Has a tarty, astringent mouthfeel. Full bodied. Fairly large enough difference between aromas and flavours.

Bottle at Embrace the Funk Fest - Yazoo. Basically ALWAYS a Wish List beer. Slightly hazed golden yellow pour, bubbly short white head with some lacing, great carbonation. Spicy herbal earthy aroma and first taste, lemon zest, pepper, honey sweetness, honeysuckle earthy nose on end, nice biting spiciness linger, yeasty and lightly funky. Supremely satisfying, very tasty. Paired with several artisan cheeses.

“Just started to get into Saisons and have found them to be extremely refreshing. This is one of the best. A nice cloudy golden pour with a huge white head. Nice lacing on my glass. Great aroma of bread, honey, citrus, and black pepper. A wonderful refreshing brew with spices and tartness. Perfect combination.”

Pours a cloudy white/amber with a massive head tha contains the entire bottle then raises from the bottom. Aroma is kindof odd to me, reminds me oth ketchup and mustard for some reason, but is very powerful. Taste is verycomplex with a very well oriented flavor consisting of spices, cloves, and some alcolhol. Slightly citrusy and finishes off somewhat nonexistant. Very well done.

I was shocked to see this missing from my ratings so i picked one up ASAP, Aromas similar to a skunky lager (but in a good way), underneath the funk was a sweet smell of candi sugar, lemon, and grass. Flavor is much the same as the aroma with the complexity changing as it warms. Overall a interesting, and refreshing brew, worth a try.

Another quality sampling from Belgique. Cloudy golden pour. Definite unfiltered. Rocky ,fine grained head. A little funk, bitter, grassy. Light easy to quaff. Maybe a touch of lemon, spice and pepper. A definite keeper.

Pours a very cloudy yeasty almost greenish brown. Rather long lasting head of creamy texture. Flavor is a lighter version of many of the better Belgian brews out there. Carbonation is very peaky, almost champagne like. Flavor is boldly sour with the bitterness of the hops lurking in the back ground. Expensive but a reasonable every once in a while purchase.

Had this from the bottle, poured into it's original glass, wich was kinda boring. Colour is hazy brown reddish and aroma has a lot of yeast and some fruity freshness. Flavour is heavy but refreshing, carrying alot of yeast into the flavour, followed by a hoppy bitterness in the finish. Good beer, but do something about the glass!
