75cl bottle. Cloudy golden yellow with white foam head. Foam head is fading, pitty. Aroma is a sour kind of barley, taste is sour ale, very little bitter taste, some peper, short aftertaste. (Rotterdam 201212)

a corked 750ml bottle (FUN), the foam are very active, a importante carbonisation, an odor of yeast, fruits acid. in mouth it's sparkling, we feel the importante yeast and complexe aroma of fruits and spice, it's a explosive beer.

Sampled on 10/17/2009. This saison pours a deep orange gold color from a capped and corked 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is orange peel, fruity, spicy and sweet. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet. Orange and peaches. Slightly vinous, some must and some funk. Yeasty, fruity and spicy. Finishes quite dry. There is a lot going on in this beer, spices, must, funk, fruitiness all combine and contrast, and change with every sip. Nice lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and tart.

Yuck. This smells as skanky as a beer can get. A mosquito infested mud puddle breeding ground for West Nile virus is all that comes to mind once the bottle is opened (did I really need 750ml of this stuff). With the aroma in mind, it did not taste all that great - but it IS a saison.

A tart yet somewhat sweet beer from Belgium. This golden and rust colored medium bodied ale had an aroma of tart green apples yet had sweet, ripe fruit flavors on the palate. Also had an effervescence that added to the character of this interesting beer.

I tried this beer on February 25, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" In Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a cloudy reddish brown with a 1" thick white head. The aroma was musty, earthy, with a definite apple hint. The mouthfeel was slightly watery and mildly carbonated. The flavour was grainy malt, sour apples, and some earthiness.

Pours a murky light-to-medium amber-yellow with a nice white frothy head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of slight maltiness, some spice and a mustiness. Taste is mild, sour with a slight sweet and grassiness and tartness.

Bottled. Orange, slightly hazy, colour with mediumsized off-white creamy head, nice lace. Aroma is slightly fruity but mainly bigtime earth, mould and barnyard. A bunch of spices also. Flavour is pleasant spicing, earthyness, wood, some sourness and at the same time sweet fruity. Nice balance and really full palated.

Bottle courtesy of Plucier (unknown vintage but label looks dated): Poured a muddy amber color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma is somewhat sour with some medium spices coming through and a medium funky yeast finish. Taste is dominated by some sour notes and light funky barnyard notes. I really appreciated the attenuation from the yeast as well as the light spices that provided some character. Body is about average with some low carbonation. Well done and wouldn’t mind to have an easier access to this.

I wasn't expecting this!! It's like it takes all the great characters of a flemish sour and a saison and combines them. Aroma of pears, green apples and white grapes but then the sourness hits you out of no-where. A tart, sour taste with orange peels but it also has a vinous quality to it that it just really interesting, then there's the acidicness to it. This is an excellent find. Loved this beer. Very complex.
