The Russell Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber colour and an exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavour are the result of the generous use of premium Cascade hops from the Yakima Valley in southern Washington. Overall, this beer has a great balance of fresh hops and malt that has a smooth, clean finish.

My lunch place today said this was the IPA, but what they served was no more an IPA than I am. However, nice appearance despite the lack of a head. Good, clear amber body, vitually nothing for the nose, and too cold to discern much flavour. Maybe some malt, but nothing else. Bland finish, average mouthfeel. Ho hum.

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of light citrus hops with medium sweet caramel malt. Taste is blander then expected with light hoppy notes of citrus with a sweeter then expected malt backbone. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Not very remarkable overall.
