Comes out of the tap a lovely opaque dark-chocolate brown with a decent tan head that leaves substantial lacing. Aroma is quite strong with smoky, coffee, and semi-sweet chocolate notes as well as a hint of burnt wood. Smoky flavor has roast malt, coffee and chocolate notes as well as a subtle undertone of molasses and a hint of burnt hops. Above-average body is fairly fizzy and leaves a smoky, slightly sweet finish. Think globally, drink locally!

A black colored beer. There's a small creamy textured, light tan head rising about. Some hang time. Settles into a thick ringletand attempts of film to climb the glass. The nose is roasted malt and burnt molassess. The roasted malt is in the tast. Snd then after a few sips I'm surprised by powdered, bittered cocoa. A medium bodied beer. Overall, not better.

A very nice porter, regrettably unavailable in northern latitudes. Dark brown, with a thin ivory head and moderate lacing. I noticed a smoked malt aroma and flavor along with the expected sweetness. Quite good!
