Blonde coloured ale with the wonderful essence of fresh blueberries. Sweet flavours of peppery blueberries, malts and spicy hops make this one a winner all the way. A one-of-a-kind refresher.

Bottle. Colour - a clear metallic gold colour with a one inch foamy off-white head and a bit of lacing as you start drinking. Aroma - the first thing you notice is the strong notes of blueberry which are masking the herbal hop and light grains that are also present. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, carbonation is above average. Flavour - the flavour borders on being that of a typical blonde ale with grains up front and a bitter hop finish with just a hint of blueberry sweetness. It is hard to believe with all the blueberry aroma that there is so little in the flavour.

Pours an average size foamy white head and has a clear pale golden appearance. Ok lacing. Aromas are mainly wheat malts, mild grainy malts, sweet malts and some grassy hops. Flavours of blueberries are fairly noticeable right away, somewhere between jam and pie :p Some yeasty and tarty notes. Hops are mainly herbal and earthy. Pretty smooth going down. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Good retention.

WOW!! An odd intoxicating aroma of grassy hops and blueberries gives way to a rather sweet beer but done just right. This may well be the very best fruit based beer I have tried! Equally as pleasant out of the bottle as it is out of a glass.

Smells like a fresh blueberry pie. Cloudy orange/yellow with a good, thick white head. Low carbonation. taste like blueberries with some sweet malt. Smooth mouthfeel with low carbonation, very easy to drink.

I tried this beer on May 29, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy dark gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma was rife with blueberries, but also grainy malt and some florally hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grassy, with some sweet malt, and a bitter finish, but any blueberry taste was minimal at best. -

If you love blueberries, you'll love the smell of this ale. A great ale in my opinion. Pop the cap, and it smells like pie...........blueberry pie. The beer itself is a typical gold coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma is blueberry pie, with a hoppish hint here and there. The flavour is mainly malt, with some sweet and sour blueberry back-up.

Golden clear body with a big fluffy white cap, retention is ok. Aroma is blueberry pancakes, this smells dam tasty. The aroma is real blueberries with out being overly sweet. Nope lied this isn’t pancakes its blueberry eggo’s. Liquid blueberry eggo’s is the taste the blueberry in the taste seems fake but the malt is smooth and rich tasting. I love the malt flavour in this fruit beer. For a fruit beer this is good I can see my self drinking this again.

Poured out the standard mid-range rocky crown that has so-so retention and leaves some patchy lacing. Has the weakest of hazinesseseses to it and appears orangy gold. The aroma is very nice with all the blueberries right up front. They don't seem too fake but do come across on the sweet and syrupy smelling side. Honey is also found. Taste is not bad and actually seems to have more flavour when colder. Comes across on the watery side but is still very drinkable and I could easily drink mulitple bottles. Seems sort of wheaty sort of. Blueberries, honey, pepper. Light bodied and dry, ends with a suprisingly sharp bitterness that is shortlived.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden ale into my glass....2 finger rocky cap with fair retention that lightly laces the glass. Aroma: a perfumey blueberry smell that verges on synthetic...very light grains...that’s it. Decent malt spine, creamy mouthfeel, medium body, full rounded charater. Taste profile is a surprise: very malty up front... creamy chewy malts then hops and blueberry tastes flood the palate creating perfect balance ...the Blueberry extract has been tastefully used in this brew and the flavor is not overpowered with it... it actually is at a level where it mingles well with the cascade hops leaving a juniper berry impression....finish is clean and hoppy/fruity...light malt and blue berry after taste. Although the Blue berry flavoring is from extract it has been judiciously used to add to the overall flavor of the malt and hop mixture and does not over power thus avoiding the obvious sythetic impression extracts leave which I find obnoxious. For this reason I’m scoring this ale up there with other decent brew pub ales.
