A rather odd beer from the get-go. While I can underastand that the brewer's name may (or may not be) Kornhuaser, what's an "Oast"? Are they too lazy or too cool to put a "T" in front of that? And since when are aromatic hops "distilled"? Seems like someone in the Art & Label Department forgot to talk to anybody even remotely involved in the brewery, eh....?
Anyway, semantics aside, this is a pretty standard Session Bitter, that might be much more interesting if it were from a firkin. But as it stands now, this just another somewhat boring ale from a brewery that hasn't impressed me in over half-dozen years at least. Decent appearence and aroma, but rather nuetral and non-commital flavor profile. All of which translates to rather dull beer. Definately not a beer I would "oast".

Again, another beer that I missed adding 2 years ago. Light golden color, medium head. Medium hopped, slightly malty ale. As an oast ale, the brew masters add an amount of distilled hop oil to the beer. Similar to, but not exactly like Portland Pale Oast Ale. A mild ale, with a aromatic hop aroma. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is very hoppy, yet not bitter.

Pretty average looking extra pale ale type beerdark yellow/gold..not much head..leaves a ring. certainlly smell the aromatic hops that this is brewd wioth..ok. taste is mostly bitter hops a small malt profile at the start..a fairly nice hop bite. Too watery in the mouth for my tastes but its not bad feeling. This is drinkable for the money I paid but if it were sale at regular MacT prices..not worth it.
