From the palaces of Persepolis, to the markets of the Great Khorasan Road, beer is a proud part of Persian culture. Iran is actually home to the world's first known barely beer. Persian Empire's Aria beers honours the noble tradition of Persian beer and brewing, utilizing all natural ingredients and craft recipes. Made with scottish hope and roasted malt, Aria Porter has a rich flavour with smokey overtones. It is lighter in colour and texture than most stouts and porters.

After having a first one from this brewery (IPA) and was not impressed, hope this one will be better. Dark brown colour with ruby highlights. The head is big, frothy, light mocha-coloured, decent lasting with a little lace. Dark fruits in the nose with some banana notes (wheat?). Not sure if I am getting some infection again, but hidden more in this one with the darker fruits. Lots of molasses with some light hops in the finish. Not syrupy because of this, so a little better for sure. There might be hope.
