Out of the three Octoberfest beers I tried this one took the cake or bread as it was very bready. Flavor a little more robust and yeastier. Distinct marzen malt. Had this with rye voltkornbrod which was a perfect compliment. Their new logo for this is whimisical and reminds me of the old Red Owl logos (though she's a winking German barmaid in green laderhosen)

On tap/keg @ OktoberPfist 2010. Nice clear amber pour with a nice head and some pretty lacing. Slightly toasty and sweet malt aroma with a very slight fruitiness. Taste is right on for the style with a toasty maltiness, slight caramel, very slight fruitiness and a bit of hops bitter in the end. Good O'Fest! John, I loved it - definitely a hit in the Barrrn - tapped out in a few hours.

Had this yesterday at a Star Liquor tasting from O'so. So good i picked up some more: Poured a clear amber colour with a nice sized white head. Biscuity and rich with fresh clean soft malted notes on the palate. aroma was pleasent as well, again, very fresh and delightful. Chewy apple notes, some spice and a little smoke near the finish. What a great beer, go out and get some O'so!
