How do you cram as much hop & malt flavor and aroma as possible into a beer but make it crushable too? That’s the challenge we answered with PINNER Throwback IPA. At 4.9% ABV and 35 IBUs, this drinkable IPA uses several varieties of hops to target the ever-evolving flavor. With tropical fruits, citrus juices, pineapple and spice berry up front in the aroma and flavor, the biscuit & toasted bread at the back balance out all the hops and make a great finish to go on to your next can of PINNER. It’s the perfect beer for a little sip, sip, give.

Rerate, 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.9%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Attractive aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Well hopped flavour, but not overdone. Notes of citrus and other fruits make the beer very drinkable, the moderate piney bitterness seems just right for a session. Original rating: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at the BrewDog bar. Golden colour. Well hopped aroma and flavour, notes of tropical fruits and citrus, some pine. Easy drinking - a fine "session" IPA that could easily become a regular of mine.

Pours clear golden with a substantial pale buff head. Strongly hoppy aroma has grapefruit and subtle malty notes. Flavor is hoppy and then some, while grapefruit co-stars and malt makes a cameo appearance. Firm body, lively fizz, and a hoppy yet not bitter finish round out a tasty IPA. Pom it down and - no, don’t throw it back, enjoy it mindfully.

This beer gets straight 7's from me. My best Mountain pal Jeff brought me a mixed 12 pack that included this beer. It was very good. I think I liked it better than Dale's. It's got a citrus presence. Very nice.

If they had half point ratings, I'd probably give flavor and overall 7.5...but I'd say closer to 8 so rounding up. Decent amount of hops for a session IPA..... above average malt too for the style. Semi-crisp, though could be a little more balanced. Oskar Blues recently opened a 2nd brewery in NC, so their beer is starting to get distributed more here on the East Coast. As a result, starting to feel a little more macro than years ago when I discovered Dale's Pale Ale. Still, the price on this is very good, so I'll probably get again next year during the spring/summer seasons.

Nose if fruity and floral hops, inviting. Body is surprisingly pale yellow with small white head that leaves a skim coat and some lace. Mouth is a bit thin and perhaps a bit flat. Flavor... they went a bit nuts with the tropical fruit, tastes a bit like pineapple gone bad. Very little malt in the profile. Hint of bitter at the end that does not balance well with the fruity profile, comes off as metallic. Worst Oskar offering I have tasted so far.

Aroma of dank herb, with orange notes, some pine and malt as well. Cap is thick and full when poured but settled nicely leaving some random spotty lace. Body is light to mid yellow with very little carbonation. Flavor has a nice citrus presence to it with a biscut middle and a slightly bitter finish. Nice beer from Oskar Blues

Had this one on 3/19 about when this site went down. Deep golden colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. Splotches of film and moderate ringlet are left. Grassy hops ands a light bready maltiness are in the nose. Nose grapefruit and citric hoppiness in the tasting. Light and crisp. Very sessionable.

12 oz can, canned on 12/18/14. Pours clear yellow gold with a medium pillowy white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is some bready malts and lots of piney hops.

The flavor is some sweet cereal malt with some piney catty grassy hops that have decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, it's OK. Lots of pine but I'm just not digging the flavor overall.
