ØLFABRIKKEN KAFFEPORTER (Coffee porter) is a dark beer balanced with a hint of Sumatracoffee and cinnamon. The coffee used is Lintung Arabica which is famous for the oily "Boengie" flavor. This porter has a dry finish and is only lightly hopped, which accentuates the spicy touch. Ølfabrikken Kaffeporter is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a small dark brown bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of dry coffee with light roasted malt notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some roasted malt with notes of dry coffee. Body has an oily texture with low carbonation and a nice creamy texture. Bottle has some age on it but still very drinkable with great notes of coffee.

Black colour, reddish brown head (kind of redder than brown). Roasted malts and lots of spices in aroma. More like Christmas than a coffee porter... Flavour is sweet coffee with spices in it. Roasted coffee in finish and aftertaste. Great "filling" palate. Feels, as for the taste, unbalanced while you drink but the aftertaste is just lovely. Aftertaste saves it.

Poured an opaque black color with a large tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, and light dried fruits. Taste of java coffee, light smoked malts, toffee, more chocolate, with a dry, bitter, roasted finish.

courtesy of Papsoe - pitch black colour with a little brown tainted foam; solid roasted coffeish aroma with notes of pralines; creamy and slightly oily mouthfeel; a touch of bitterness and a long mocha and chocolatey finish - a nice dessert beer

Thanks to sk8viking for this great beer. It pours a medium brown but what hits you is a very nice coffee aroma. The flavor is extremely well balanced between roastiness, coffee and dryness. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Black with small light-brown head. Loads of roasted coffee in aroma with touches of vanilla and black coffee. Powerfull, solid flavour of dark coffee, sweet licorice and black chocolate. Full moutheel. Long aftertaste of coffee. Nice!
