Sampled at RFD Washington during Beer Gazetteer 2003. Unfiltered ale pours hazy gold. Brewed with American malt and hops, but fermented on Orval yeast. No spices or orange peel added, but yeast gives it a lemony nose and tart, citrusy taste. Low alcohol content and maximum flavor. The sample I tried seemed a tad young--would be better after additional conditioning. Fascinating ale with a story as good as the overall quality.

Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head and nice lacing. Citrusy aroma or yeast, cheese and hops. Perfumy taste of hops, yeast and coriander. Average mouthfeel, and it finished with a dry, almost soapy taste. An interesting APA, I thought this was Belgian somehow.
