4.2 % on cask, 4.6 % bottled. The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011. A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Clear yellow with small white lacing foam head. Aroma is clearly quite hoppy with some fruit tones. Strong bitter taste and aftertaste. I like this citra hop. (Velp 201406)

Single bottle from the LCBO with a Best before date of 17 DEC 2014. Pours a pale golden colour with a white frothy head, decent retention and some foamy lacing. Aromas of real fresh hops at first and then the characteristics of Citra come out: mild grapefruit with lots of exotic fruits. The taste is not as bitter as IPAs, but a nice dryness making it still refreshing. Again, the grapefruit is mild with the other fruits balancing things. Light grain appears in the background with the notes of bitterness lingering. This is quite a nice easy-going ale with some nicely blended hops to it. I am a fan of Citra (the beer and the hops themselves).

Pours a small foamy white head and has a golden appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Nice citrusy flavours, some oranges but mostly grapefruit notes and mainly in the finish. Lively carbonation. Pretty much a full bodied mouthfeel. Good stuff.

The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a bubbly snow white head that lasts a while. The aroma is grains, citrusy hops, and weak spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grans with weak grapefruity hops, some earthy hops are noticeable as well. Good summer beer. -

Bottled (4.6 % ABV, no mentioning of bottle conditioned on the bottle, bought from K CM Kivihaka, Vaasa). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy hops along with some mild spices. Flavour is fruity hops with rather spicy notes as well as some sweet malts as well. Very smooth palate. As it warms up it gets quite sour berryish. Very pleasant brew!
