Bottle sent as an extra from BOLTZ7555. Thanks Jason! Copper color, fluffy white head, decent retention. The aroma shows caramel, toffee and campfire burned marshmellow. Malty flavor; soft caramel as well as a little bready and grainy. Slightly dry and fruity hops in the finish, a weak hop profile though. Not bad.

Sampled on 4/16/2009. This Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange and citrus, some caramel malt. A medium bodied Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Lively carbonation. Grapefruity hops and not much else. Could use a little some more maltiness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and sharp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A decent take on the American pale ale style, pouring with a nice initial head that yielded good lacing. The aroma did have some v. light caramel in it and American hops. The flavor took on some pine and herbal hop flavors. Clearly not an overdone pale ale, this one was still welcomed over the sweet other beers from OC (hops much more detectable, as they should have been).
