22 oz bottle, dated 2014. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet cola with leathery roast and a little pine and fruit.
The flavor is sweet roasted chocolate malts with some fruity piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, an OK sweet fruity black IPA. -

Pours a deep, cool sable with a very thick and rather persistent tan head. Roast malt aroma has notes of hops, wood and caramel. Flavor echoes the roast malt and hops of the aroma, but not as strongly. Maybe this was not their best batch. Texture is fairly fizzy, but a tad thin. Still, a good job. Let it go to your head (but please call a cab!)

Open carefully - mine exploded. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a fluffy tan head with loads of lacing. Aroma is sour, hoppy. Medium smooth body that turns crisp and sharp with fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor has roasty malt, earth, spice and a bit of wood.
