Naturally soured by farm valley winds blowing wild yeast into our oak casks. Finally, after a year and a half of patient coaxing Wisconsin dark malts whirl in a kaleidoscope of cedar, caramel, and tart green plum exuberance. Available to the exclusive few who travel off the beaten paths, this is authentic Wisconsin sour brown ale. Truly unique this Sour Ale is brewed for those who live on the wild side and is suitable for laying down or consuming immediately, serve at 40-45 degrees F.

Pours barely translucent caramel with minimal ivory head. Aroma offers tart fruit, mainly pomme and tropical, plus fresh malt. Flavor delivers tart and sour pomme, berry and tropical plus fresh malt. Texture adds good body, lively fizz, and a tart fruity finish. Go wild!

Wish lister off the books thanks to Travis: Aroma of oak and all kinds o funky fruit (apple. plum) feel is medium tingly and sour enough to get ya in the jawm just a little. Flavor is awesome. Oaky and funky as all get out while still being refreshing. Nailed another one.

Oh Yes. This did not disappoint in any way, even may have exceeded expectations... First pour form the PfoxyJohn himself and at the Bar(n) to boot. Light brown pour, short tight head, some lacing. Again, the nose and palate are the stars with this beer, not the appearance. Lovely tart, sour then lightly sweet nose and flavor, light apple cider vinegar, woodsy oak, very very light vanilla, Sweet-Tart candy, caramel, very ripe pit fruits: DAMN! what a complex tasty beer. Welcoming tart linger, suggesting that you have another... I think I will... Fantastic Sour - would have thought it Belgian in a blend tasting.

A very vibrant sour nose as most sours from NG are, reminds me of Enigma without the sweetness. The wood aging really dries out the beer and makes the flavor much more mild than the nose. This is no fruity sour but a sour brown to go with the best of them.
