Pours a medium brown with a thick foamy head that leaves ample lacing. De. Aroma is of sweet malts, caramel, and nuts. Taste is very smooth with a nice caramel maltiness and nuts and a great finish.

Pours a dark amber/brown with a sub-one finger head that disappears very fast. Very clear and carbonated. Aroma has the smell of nuts, spices and malts. Taste is a tad roasted with hints of sugar. Also has something that reminded me of day old, cold coffee. A tad watered down. Not the best.

Another great New glarus beer. hazelnut, creamy, slightly chocolately, not too heavy, not too light. I like it better than Fat Tire and its my go to for NG, though I still need to try the cherry. On another note, I have seen squirrels acting drunk and ballistic when its amanita mushroom season, but never fat ones. Fat ones I only see around feeders that are filled with sunflower seeds by the bucket full each day.

This beer has hops from more countries than you can shake a stick at. But, it's all good! This brown ale is deep brown in colour with a tan head. Nutty malt, yeast, and floral hops dominate the olfactory senses. The flavours include caramel malt, some earthy hoppiness, and nuttiness. A great beer.

Clear amber beer with a sweet mild aroma, a hint of sour citrus. Fruit and malt flavor with some grass and grain. Very light body and easy drinking. Not bad but not remarkable either.

Bottle from biggcb. Pours a brownish-copper color with a nice initial foam head that dies down to an ultra thin layer. A little grass and hay in the aroma mixes with caramel and toasted almond. The flavor is a bit basic but overall pretty solid tasting. Nutty and toasty with the aforementioned almond, hazelnut, caramel, some toffee and subtle citrusy hops. This isn’t exciting but there’s also nothing bad at all about it and it drinks easy. Thanks Chris.

Picked this up in a sample pack while in WI. Pours a caramel brown with nice tan head. Aroma was nutty, caramel and some malts. Nice lacing throughout giving this brown ale a nice appearance. Good taste of toasted malts and nuts. Overall a good choice.

poured light for a brown ale. mahogony. smelled of pleasant sweet malt and nuts. nice malt profile in the nose and flavor. clean hazelnut flavor. not as "stand up and take notice" as say, a Rogue Hazelnut brown, but above average with a smooth finish.

Courtesy of a trade with pfoxyjohn. The giant box o'beer necessitated that I sit down with some friends and sample some beer! A great night; first of the evening: Pours a mahoghany color with a tan head. very light carbonation. tastes very sweet and nutty. Caramel notes create the sweet forefront. not much of an aroma at all. A good brown ale, even if the style is a bit too sweet for me. Thanks John!
