Biere De Mars is New Belgium's exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena. All of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Excelent beer, not as spicy and complex as most of the belgian ales of this type, but pretty good, expecialy for the price, compared to a lot of American takes. Just a good, refreshing, and complex beer.

I picked this beer up from Anthony's on 34th street in Ocean City, Maryland. This beer was good. It is basically a saison. It was a tad spicy and very nice overall. A bit pricy but New Belgium does it right - one of my favorite overall breweries.

Comes out of the tap a somewhat hazy amber - not much head, but this is from the way they pour it. Aroma is malty and yeasty with a subtle fruity undertone.Malty flavor has subtle notes of yeast, hops and apple, just a touch of sour fruit plus just a hint of herbs. Firm-bodied texture has plenty of fizz and a bit of a sour bite. Another winner from New Belgium’s Lips of Faith series.

Hmm. Pours Ice Tea color with a thin white head. Aroma is funky, mouth spicey, flaor has some zing and spice but at the end of it I was left wanting something else.

This poured a murky orange color with a large white head. The aroma was quite yeasty with some brown sugar, yams, and citrus showing up. The flavor was rather sour but also had a sugary side to it as well. The flavor also contained some candied yams and citrus. Overall I really enjoyed this beer.

It pours a light & hazy amber with thin white head and some lace. It has a single string of bubbles trickling-up from the bottom-middle of the glass. An aroma of sweet and bready malts, light hops, orange and citrus, peach and apricot, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky, and rich. Flavors of thick and bready malts, light hops, citrus, light apricot, and mild spices. Mmmm...

Picked this up the other day at Star. Not too shabby! Pours a bright orange with a fluffy white head. Got a bit of sour smell, but it was more citrus lemon sour then something poor. Taste was noticeable spicey and unique. Flavours of lemon, leaves and pepper. Mouthfeel was very spritzy. Very lively and creamy near the finish. Cool beer. id pick it up again!

Bottle: Poured a clear deep golden color ale with a large foamy head that disappeared way too quickly without any lacing. Aroma of spices with bland malt base and light dry Brett notes. Taste is also dominated by light spice mix with notes of bland Belgian style malt with a very faint funky aftertaste. Body is a bit light for style with average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very disappointing from a brewery who usual produce better offering.

Murky orange-yellow pour with little head or lacing. Yeasty, lemony, slightly sour funky aroma. Taste is slightly tart and sour with a lemony-citrus flavor and an odd yeasty taste. Funky but I like it.

newly branded "lips of faith" offering...i'll stick with the regular stuff. don't like paying a premium for a beer that's at best the same as the regularly priced line-up. 1 22 oz for nearly the price of a sixer? why? don't get me wrong, this beer was not offensive in any way, but thoroughly ordinary in every way. Won't be back.

A slightly hazy orange body, no head or lace. Faint aromas of spice, and yeasts. Flavor had an almost earty taste that only grew as it warmed. Overall it was an odd beer, not good, but not too bad either, however i really didnt care for it.
