A collaboration between an iconic Rhode Island beer and Rhode Island‘s favorite family-owned donut shop. Narragansett is proud to collaborate with Allie‘s on this special, chocolatey mash-up brew. Brewed with chocolate malt, dark crystal malt and cocoa nibs to deliver on the double-chocolate promise, and then complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla.

A dark brown colored beer with a moderate creamy textured light brown head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. A thick ringlet and light film are left. Chocolate and light powdered sugar in the nose. The donut-sugar, milk chocolate sweetness is balanced some by bitter dark cocoa in the tasting. A nice smooth bodied porter.

About what I expected. Overly sweet and not balanced that well. Ok texture, and there's some good chocolate in there....just not really what I go for in a porter. I think I like their regular coffee porter better, which is so far the one I like best from this brewer. Glad I only bought the single pint vs the 4-pack.
