Dark golden- brown hue. Pours with a foamy white head. Spicy aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a creamy mouthfeel and dry, toasty finish showing a hint of hop character. An all natural dark beer which is brewed from an old recipe handed down from our ancestors. It’s fine filtered, spiced with the finest of hops and lavish malt. It has a full bodied aroma. Pours with a nice foam-like head.

Meh. One I've passed on probably a hundred times but decided to give it a shot. Decent spicy yeast character and a touch of hops, but also some biscuit malt (which doesn't go well here) and dare I say a touch of cardboard. Add the slight overcarbonation and there's just not a whole lot to get excited about here.

Wholey uninspiring. Pours darker than I expected with a fluffy tan head. Very thin to the pallette. Decent lacing and a malty mushroom/biscuit flavor that had just a bit of funk to it. Not as enjoyable as I'd hoped.

Nice swing-top bottle with a pretty picture on the front. After that this beer was as non-descript as any. A hazy golden pour with a creamy head. bready notes with yeast and floral hopes. Flavour is sweet malt followed by a bitter finish.

Sampled on 1/1/2011. This Kellerbier pours a medium brown copper color from a .5l swing top bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with decent lacing. The aroma is caramel, bready, and spicy, semi-sweet. A medium bodied Kellerbier. The malts are semi-sweet, caramel, bready and fruity. The hops are herbal and slightly spicy. Good carbonation. Nicely balanced. Easy drinking, would make a nice session beer. Milder flavors, mostly bready malts. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Kellerbier # 2. foamy smears of lacing left around the glass, neverending foamy cap over a brownish red body with very faint carbonation. very faint malty aroma. Light caramel flavors, clean finish. Nothing really outstanding here.

I think this is my first Kellerbier. Overall I wasn't that impressed. Translucent brownish body is certainly inviting. But not much of a head. Good carbonation though as I watch the bubbles run through the body of the beer. Easy to drink and actually went well with the Ragu Bolognese we had tonight. But it isn't a very complex body.

Pours a light caramel brown with a good head. The flavor is still on the sweeter like the lager, but with a bit more character, a touch of caramel maltiness comes into the mix here, although there’s still a lack of hops.

Swing top bottle poured a fairly clear rich amber/light brown color with a puffy off white head. Thick lacing slowly slides down the glass, there is a lazy carbonation. Initial stinging malt scent, comes off sweet and grassy, a bit musty and strong. A little sticky to the palate but medium bodied and pleasant. Bready with a good heaping of sweet malts are the dominant flavors, yeasty with a solid earthiness. Very pleasant and interesting, nothing I'd make a habit out of though.

Deep amber colour with small off-white head. Aroma is very malty along with some earthy and hoppy notes. Flavour is earthy malts with some salty hints as well as a hoppy peak in the finish.
