Poured a hazy gold with white head and good lacing. There was a nice mix of spice and sweet with neither taking over. The mouth feel was light which I though went well with the subtle blending of the flavors.

Sampled with my brother brando for his first beer ever: Poured a gorgeous george golden orange colour, hazey like a smoke filled auditorium. Malty, spicey and wheaty all the way through as far as flavours go. Aroma is wheaty as well, bananna cloves and platanos. Alright. Listening to Bitches brew- Miles Davis

Tis a decent brew. Mindful subtle hints of crispy coldness. Methinks I've had better. My taste buds are not used to these English suds. It's not like it doesn't make me want to quit drinking beer and switch to tea and triscuits, but this isn't really my cup of tea. I could get used to it, but I'm a not begging, these days I'm in the position for decision, and my first choice would not be this beer. Goes good with fish and chips, which I did have for lunch..

(Cask-conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden) Amber with a small dissapearing white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of green apples. Sweet malty flavour of toffee and pears with a unpleasant finish of sour green apples.

A very fine beer and one to keep in mind next time you dont wanna get whacked over the side the head by a big bold heavy hoped American IPA. A quite modest beer, hoped lightly but enough to make a point. Very mild but tasteful.

With me and Karen frantically making plans for a trip to Cornwall next January/Febuary, I guess it's only natural that I would have authentic English ales top-of-mind when I was beer shopping this afternoon. And while I thought I had this before, I was hearing good things about this beer online, and decided to try it out again.
Good call, that. To put this as simply as I can, "I dig this one".
Please allow me to elaborate.
Very sedate appearence, without much in the way of carbonation. A fair representation of attempting to replicate Real Ale in a bottle. And while it would have been nice if this was bottle-conditioned, I appreciate the effort at least.
Rather standard English Ale Aroma -- slightly fruity, but otherwise keeping to itself, for the most part. Only scant hints of hops, really.
But it's the flavor profile that this beer tends to come into it's own. Filling in the mouthfeel, that makes sure sure that the hop profile has a wide berth to do it's magic. I'm going to guess Target and/or Challenger hops with this one, but however the hop bill breaks out to, I think it works pretty well here. Nice interplay between the hops and the slightly fruity yeast-derived vibe to this beer.
A nicely quaffable beer, from a brewery that I had previously had some doubts about. But if their beers are as interesting and as enjoyable as this one, I won't complain too much.... ;^)
Recommended.

Light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, apples, caramel and wood. A medium bodied strong ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, toffee and wood with a hint of earthiness. Hops are citrusy and piney, mildly bitter. Nice balance. Very pleasant beer. Nice malt character is balanced by a nice earthy hop presence. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Poured orange with a small head and a musky sour aroma. Taste isn't much better except it does have a bit of malty sweetness to it. Finish is clean but way too light.

Pours a nice golden-orange with decent head and good lacing. All I smelled was lemon, how pathetic for any ale. Mild malts and metal comprise the disappointing flavor. Pleasant, smooth, medium-body with adequate carbonation.

Sampled from bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with an adequate white head and very nice lacing. Aroma is more bold that its appearance would suggest: prunes, rich malts and an earty must. Flavor is bitter with plums and a fresh fruit sweetness in the middle. Not a lot of hops in the aroma or flavor. Medium-bodied, moderately carbonated and fairly-easy drinking. Don't put this on your "rush out and buy now" list.
