Dominion Ale, made in an English Pale Ale-style, is brewed with Two-Row Pale, Caramel and Black malts from the US. The hops are Perle, Williamette and Mount Hood from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding hops. The beer is fermented with a traditional American ale yeast (Chico) in the German Kolsch style-warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation at a cool temperature. Dominion Ale is similar to fresh Bass Ale. The beer is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the aromatic Kent Goldings hops. ABV by volume: 4.7%

pours nice amber yellow with a ok white head that fades quickly. It has a slightly hoppy aroma. The taste is sweet and malty with a very slight caramel note and atouch of piney hops.

I tell ya, I grew up in a tough neighborhood. The other night a guy pulled a knife on me. I could see it wasn't a real professional job. There was butter on it. . Pours a light brick tan, some head but dies to average lacing .. . a touch of honey to start out with, small dose of bitterness .. clean finish ..

I absolutely loved this one from Old Dominion. I usually don't get too caught up in vivid descriptions that I usually leave to the ture beer conessoiurs. I'll just say that I've had a lot of beer and this one is truly outstanding.

(vintage 2005). Hazy orange colour with small white head. Aroma is vanilla, malts and flowery hops. Flavour is caramel, hops, hay and some grassyness. Some metallicness also.

Nice copper color but not enough head, as it's thin and fades quickly. Aroma is a very nice caramel malt with a touch of hops. A nice beer to come home to and drink without thinking. Has a bit of a hop bite to it and a decent body.

This beer is hopped with four different varieties, Perle, Williamette, MT. Hood, and imported EKGs. Three different malts are used, two row pale, caramel, and black. The method in brewing this beer is like that of a kolsh, a short warm fermentation, then a slow, cold conditioning. This makes this beer very fruity and estery, but also smoother, rounder, and very drinkable. Like the title of my review says, this is just a great, all around drinking beer. Dominion ale pours to a deep golden/light amber color with a nice white head, and a good carbonation. The nose is just great on this beer. Very nice hop aromatics marry with a light touch of sweet malt aroma. The palate is firm, good caramel malt flavor, slightly toffeeish with some nice fruity esters as well. Nice body, this beer is lean, smooth, and drinkable. The beer finishes malty up front then dries out nicely with a snappy hop bite that lingers. This beer is really well balanced. Great hop and malt aromas and flavors with great smoothness and drinkability. This beer would match well with just about anything. This is the type of beer you have a cook out with, burgers and dogs. Its the type of beer you bring to a party. Just a great beer, plain and simple.

Keg at the Hyatt Dulles, VA. Dark amber coloured with a slim white head. Light hops and a bit of caramel in the aroma. Similar for the taste. Medium bodied. Acceptable enough.

Pours with an amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with little lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a very slight caramel note and atouch of piney hops. Meidum bodied and smooth.

The first time I saw or even heard of this beer was tonight. The hotel I am staying at has it on draft. This is truly a smooth ale. The color is a dark caramel and just has a great taste, very close to Bass draft.

A nice well rounded American Pale Ale. Think Sierra Nevada and tone down the hops about 5% and ad a little touch of honey type sweetness and youve got a pretty good idea how this one will taste. I found it excellent! and would recomend it!
