nice balanced oktoberfest. bready, toasty malts up front and center - aroma and taste. a hint of hops and a hint of spice, moreso in the flavor. nice sipping brew on a cool night.

Awesome job from the folks at Millstream. I've been waiting to this fest for a while. A bit past the celebration but nonetheless a pretty nice Marzen. A clear amber with a very little white head. Aroma is pleasent. Soft hops and cinnamon. Flavors shining through are very biscuity, fresh and lots of ripe fruits. Soem cherry and apple near the finish. Great beer!

Oktoberfest from Iowa - courtesy of phishpond. Nice clear amber pour with a short-lived head and no lacing. Nice carbonation - pours almost like a soda pop. Malty sweet aroma with a nice dose of hops. Taste is hoppyer than some Oktoberfests with a nice balance of sweet malts and hops bit. Finished slight sweet and dry. Nice for the style - thanks Travis.

Bottle. Poured a clear caramel color with a thin white head. Almost not lacing whatsoever. Mouthfeel is nice. Aroma is decent, with sweet and fruity scents. Flavor is typical of most oktoberfest/marzens, as it has a nice caramel malt flavor to it. Aftertaste almost has a apple hint to it. A nice oktoberfest brew.

The body of this beer is an impressive, deep amber, but the dimunitive head leaves me rather disappointed. And because there's no apparent lacing, I have to rate this beer "average" in appearance. I really have a problem with the aroma of this beer. I detect an overwhelming mold / metallic smell, which really prevents me from enjoying the malts and hops that are lurking in the background. As for the flavor (once I'm past the aroma), I think the malts and hops are nicely balanced. There's a pleasant, roasted toffee aftertaste, too, and that makes the whole experience worthwhile (true to the season). Enjoy this brew while it lasts, and look forward to the new releases just around the corner.

Aroma is sweet with a touch of caramel and apples. Also has a hint of hay in the background. Relatively large white head. Very deep amber with an almost neon orange highlight. The taste is fairly subtle with grass, toffee and some nice honey in the finish. Overall a fairly thin, but decent fall brew.

I thought this was a great version of an oktoberfest/marzen. Nice malts, creamy mouthfeel that differs from many other domestic versions I have had who prefer higher carbonation. Nice caramel aroma and hints of dark chocolate in the flavor, I would put this up against any in Europe.
